The Highland Park Police Benevolent Association is requesting your assistance in generating charitable contributions to help a fellow police officer and his family during a time of need.
Officer Christopher Cipolla, a 26 year Highland Park police veteran, and his wife Dolly are the parents of four children; Alexandria 21, Samantha (Sam) 19, Carisa 16 and Anthony 9. Sam has been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of juvenile cancer, Pancreatic Blastoma. Due to the rarity of this juvenile cancer, it is possible treatment may exceed insurance coverage. Associated expenses and any experimental treatments will not be covered at all.
Sam, an energetic, outgoing, athletic, passionate and bright individual has exhibited great strength of character during this challenging time in her young life. Her courage and positive attitude have touched the hearts and souls of all who have learned of her illness. Please take the time to visit Sam’s personal blog where she shares her experiences while battling this terrible illness:http://1tuffcookie.blogspot.com/2007/11/my-blog.html
Please join us on Friday, February 22, 2008 from 5:30 pm – 10:00 pm when the Highland Park Police Benevolent Association will be hosting a fundraiser for Sam at the Highland Park Country Club, 1201 Park Ave, Highland Park, Illinois. Please show your support by purchasing a $25 ticket, which includes live music, Hors D’Oeuvres and door prize raffle ticket. A cash bar will be available.
The "Samantha Cipolla Fund" has been established at the Highland Park Bank & Trust, 1949 St. Johns Ave, Highland Park, Illinois. Vice President Dennis Carani can be contacted at 847-432-2188 for anyone wishing to make a donation.
